Is smoking marijuana a sin?

Never really knew, but at times you could say it gives you a spiritually uplifting experience. I wouldn't necessarily say it can bring you closer to God, but that is why I am asking the question. What do you think? IMO I think its far different from cocaine, exctasy, crack, meth,etc. What do you think? There are no exceptions even if its a creation of God?
