Installing Windows XP?

first and foremost, do not transfer your mom's harddisk to your computer and install xp in it. you would encounter problems when you return the drive to her PC. i think your mom's PC has trouble reading the CD. Try cleaning it or even swapping the CD drive to yours during installation. This should make things work especially if the setup CD works on your PC.
