Birth control pill schedule question?

I'm getting married in june and I don't want to get my period until sunday june 21. I'm going to start the pill and my gyno said start on my next period. I asked her about scheduling she said call in may and left the room well I heard if you are changing your schedule you want to do it months out so I wont spot or breakthrough bleed. I should be getting my next period around march 9th. Is it unsafe for me to start taking my active pills marth sunday 8th so that I dont get my period in june until I want it.
