Chinese ATV's need a battery?

Much to my objection my father in law bought the kids one of those cheap 50cc atvs. The battery is charged by plugging a cord into a socket in the rear. And of course the battery will not hold a charge. There seems to not be anymore dealers around. ( they left as quick as they came). Just wondering where to get a battery
