What would you do in my situation?

next week i'm supposed to go to sing "happy birthday Jesus" in front of about 300 people with a bunch of little elementary school kiddies. i'm 16 and I'm kind of embarrased but everyone expects me to...AND plus to make it cute we all have to hold little fake candles. i was thinking i could fake sick...what should i do?
