Who has actually bought Virtual Villagers??

I wanna play virtual villagers but i dnt wanna but it....is there anyway i can own it forever without paying 4 it?? I've downloaded it from bigfishgames.com but it only lasted for an hour....is buying it the only option...pls help....only serious answers please.
